皇冠app安卓下载安装中心 for Urban Education Programs

学术课程

The four-year course of study (unless you are transferring in college credits) includes a variety of subjects that contribute to a well-rounded college education and preparation for the most challenging of school classrooms. You will spend either weekday afternoons or evenings (depending on your enrollment choice) in academic classes at the Center. Your coursework is based on the major/licensure program that you choose.

The academic coursework is primarily delivered at the UNC Denver Center at Lowry. You will have options for taking courses online or at other campuses.

Classroom Apprenticeships

CUE students work as paraprofessionals in the mornings starting from their first semester. This field experience provides students with the opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences and make deeper connections to their coursework.

Students are paired with a mentor who is a retired master teacher. Each mentor works with a cohort of students in individual and group sessions. 他们 visit classrooms to oversee students’ progress at apprenticeship sites, and plan and convene group meetings where students can learn from, support and rely on each other. Mentors provide essential guidance needed by all teacher candidates in assessing their development in instructional skills and classroom management.

Course Offerings Based On Your Needs

A unique feature of the Center is the scheduling of classes. Our faculty plan course offerings based on what our mix of students need, rather than planning a general schedule that may or may not fit most students’ needs.

Classes are delivered each semester in a variety of methods including three 5-week blocks, 15 weekday or weekend sessions, or online. As a result, Center students focus on three or fewer academic classes at the same time while enrolling as part-time or 全日制学生. This enables students to focus more clearly on the work at hand and come away from each classroom experience richer in what they have learned.
